Ingredients
Wheat Puttu
For Potato Masala
Servings: people
Instructions
  1. Mix wheat flour with salt and water to puttu consistency and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix this puttu mixture with grated coconut and steam in a puttu column for 5 minutes minimum and remove from the column.
  3. Like this repeat until all is done.
Potato Masala
  1. Cut the potato, onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, and tomato and keep asid.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a pan, add the cut onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, and saute until onion is translucent.
  3. To this add the turmeric powder, chili powder, and coriander powder and saute until aromatic.
  4. Now add the cut tomato, saute until tomato is mushy. Add the potato to this, add just enough water to cover the vegetables, salt and cook until potato is cooked and gravy is thick.
  5. Add curry leaves and serve hot with puttu.
