This dish I have made before and posted…It is always good to post a better click when you have one…The usual Kerala masala with our authentic coconut oil is used to make this dish…Coconut oil is the apt thing for non-veg dishes….especially sea foods…We Keralites can’t even think of making a non-veg dish without coconut and coconut related ingredients…as usual the outcome was otherworldly…simple masala brings out the flavour beautifully,,,

Instructions
  1. Clean the shrimps, devein and marinate in turmeric powder and salt and keep aside. Keep this aside fro 30 minutes to infuse the masala. Heat coconut oil in a kadai, add the finely cut shallots, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and curry leaves and saute until shallots are light golden brown. Now add the finely cut tomatoes and saute until tomato is cooked. To this add the dhaniya powder and chilli powder, saute until aromatic, add the marinated prawns, mix well and cook in low flame covered. Prawns gets cooked in the water released from prawns when cooking, no need to add water. cook till dry and the prawns are coated with the masala. Serve with rice or roties.
