Ingredients
- 400 gm prawns
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 number green chilli
- 1 inch piece ginger
- 1 gooseberry sized tamarind
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
- 5 number Shallots
- 2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 2 sprigs cury leaves
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions
- Clean and devein the prawns and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the fenugreek seeds, when golden brown add the grated coconut, shallots, curry leaves and keep on frying until coconut is dark golden brown in color.
- Now add the coriander powder, chilli powder to the fried coconut and saute again until raw smell disappears.
- Grind the fried coconut mixture to a fine paste with very little water and keep aside.
- Extract the pulp of tamarind, mix with prawns. Add turmeric powder, green chilies and ginger to this, add the ground coconut also, and keep on the stove.
- When starts boiling, cook keeping covered in low flame until oil float on top.
- Check for salt, add curry leaves boil once and remove from the stove.
- Serve either warm or cold. This curry tastes the best when cold especially when it is made in earthen pot.
- Enjoy with rice, or any Indian roties.
