Pepper is native to Kerala…We never knew the value of pepper…it was there in most of the houses in South India…Olden times it was used as money during trading…people had this plenty at home…money was less available and the barter system came and we were giving pepper instead of money for the services in exchange…Slowly we became aware of the benefits of this black gold..

Non-veg dishes especially any types of meat cooked in pepper is always more tastier…good for the gastric lining…a good antibacterial, its benefits are umpteen..Good for your sinus problems…it goes on…

Instructions
  1. Clean the chicken and marinate in turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt and keep aside for 30 minutes minimum.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the finely cut onion, green chilli, ginger, garlic and curry leaves and until onion is translucent.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to this, mix well and cook in low flame covered.
  4. No need of adding water. Chicken gets cooked in the water released from the chicken when cooking.
  5. Cook until soft and the water dries up and the chicken piece are coated with the masala.
  6. Spicy pepper chicken is ready to serve with rice or any Indian roties.
