Parippu Vada (Masala Vada)

The crispy, crunchy, spicy dal vada…Who will say no to Parippu Vada??…We usually used to have this in college canteen hot and crispy…That time this was one of the numbered available snacks you get in college canteen…We never were dissatisfied.. In fact all were happy to get this crunchy, spicy hot snack everyday..You never get bored with the dish…Apt for a cold rainy day..a perfect evening snack or a breakfast dish…

This dish I have posted before.. since the taste is overwhelming thought of posting again…

Instructions
  1. Wash the soaked dal and drain the liquid and keep aside.
  2. Grind the dal with, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt coarsely and keep aside.
  3. To this add the finely cut onion, mix well to combine.
  4. Make lemon sized balls of the ground mixture.
  5. Flatten like vada and deep fry in oil in a low flame so that it is cooked evenly into golden colour, crispy, without getting burnt.
  6. Have this hot as is or with the accompaniment of coconut chutney if you desire.
