Instructions
  1. Heat oil with 1 teaspoon butter in a pan. To this add the bay leaf, cinnamon, clove , red chili and coriander seeds and fry till good aroma comes.
  2. To this add the cut onion, ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell disappears.
  3. Add Chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and cut tomatoes to this and fry till oil leaves.
  4. Puree the fried masala.
  5. Heat the balance 1 teaspoon butter in a pan and fry the pureed masala for some time.
  6. Add water to this and the cut paneer pieces, salt and mix, cook covered for three to 4 minutes till paneer is tender.
  7. Now add the kasoori methi powder and fresh cream and garnish wiith coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with any Indian bread.
Recipe Notes

Make sure that the paneer is not overcooked. Just 3 or 4 minutes is enough to make it tender. if overcooked it becomes rubbery and tasteless.
