Instructions
  1. Wash the chicken and marinate in turmeric powder and salt and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Pressure cook the chicken and once done shred the chicken into small pieces and keep aside.
  3. Same way cook the potato and mash into fine paste. This is for binding the tikkis.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add the finely cut ginger, garlic, green chili and curry leaves and coriander leaves and saute until aromatic.
  5. To this add the shredded chicken, mashed potato and just enough salt.
  6. add the pepper powder and coriander powder and saute until raw smell disappears and the mixture becomes dry.
  7. Make the mixture into lemon sized balls, flatten like tikkis, dip in beaten egg white and coat in bread crumbs and deep fry or shallow fry in oil according to choice.
  8. Flip and fry the other side also until it is evenly golden in color. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
