  1. Wash the beef nicely and squeeze out the extra water.
  2. Mix beef with turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt.
  3. Pressure cook the beef mixture, after one whistle keep in low flame and cook for 5 minutes and switch off.
  4. Once the pressure settles, open the cooker, keep on boiling till the water evaporates and keep aside.
  5. Soak chana dal for 1 hour and grind to a coarse paste with enough salt, red chili, curry leaves and ginger and garlic.
  6. Mix this with the beef mixture nicely with hands to incorporate the masala.
  7. Make into balls and flatten a little like vada and deep fry in oil till both sides are golden brown.
Recipe Notes

Can make variations by adding more spices like chili and coriander powder.
